This is a quick picture book that briefly tells how a litter girl is making a flower box for her mother’s birthday present. The book is not every detailed but the pictures show every step the little girl takes to create the flower garden. The book also tells where the box will be kept so that the flowers will grow.

I thought this book would give more details and explain how to make a flower garden. I thought children would be able to read this book and then go home and make flower gardens with their parents or that they could possibly plant a flower in class as a group project. The book only briefly discusses how to gather a box and soil and place the seeds in it in order to let them grow. The book does give the importance of sunlight though and how it helps plants grow.
