In this story, an engine is trying to take some food and toys to some boys and girls that live up on a mountain. The engine breaks down and cannot move. Several different engines pass the engine while she is broke down but none of them offer to help her and the toys make it to the mountain. However, a little blue engine comes along and asks if they need help. The engine tells the little blue engine that she needs help getting up the mountain. The little blue engine says “I think I can, I think I can, I think I can”. The little blue engine helps out and they are able to reach their destination.
Personal Rating-5
This book is great because it demonstrates determination. It also demonstrates being a good friend and helping someone out when they are in need. Reading this book online was a neat experience because I have never done that before. It was different clicking on a button to turn the page instead of being able to just flip the page myself! This is a great source for children to use to find books. The database has a lot of titles to chose from.
