Crinkleroot’s Guide to Knowing Butterflies & Moths
by Jim Arnosky
32 Pages

Crinkleroot was born in the woods and raised by bees and he knows all about the creatures that live in the woods near him. He tells all about the different types of butterflies in this book. He explains how some butterflies are big and some are small. He tells that some have big bold patterns while others are a solid color. He also explains why people sometimes confuse butterflies with moths. Finally, Crinkleroot talks about how butterflies get nectar from flowers.

Personal Rating-5

This book has really great pictures in it which enhance the story. They show the patterns on the different butterflies very well. This book is really great to use to learn about butterflies. I knew that butterflies and moths were similar, but I did not know that they were THAT similar. Also, I did not know that the Hummingbird was part of the Moth family. I recommend this book!
